Description: Based within the Central Engineering Department, reporting to the applicable discipline lead, you will work primarily within ‘projects' and in support of the Business Acquisition (BA) function as required. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in key areas of subsea discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice. • Understand clients' needs; identify and address design parameters and problems; develop and implements solutions. • Understand the fundamentals of flexible pipe design and manufacture with ability to review design, non conformance and as built reports and advise project management of suitability of product • Under own or limited supervision, independently evaluate, organise and prioritise work. • Undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to DO, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various third party submissions. • Liaise with sub-contractors and clients during flexible pipe manufacture and installation • Approve and issues technical documentation, accepting personal responsibility for its adequacy. • Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed. • Train / mentor more junior engineers. MSc preferred Specified Qualifications for position: Chartered/Licensed status preferred. Continuing Professional Development: Can articulate learning and training experiences Experience General Experience: Engineering experience within the oil and gas industry preferably Subsea industry.
